Your new company Hays are currently recruiting for Senior Structural Engineer for a multidisciplinary engineering firm based in the border of Northern Ireland and Ireland. The company specialises in providing comprehensive design services from project inception to completion, catering primarily to clients in the UK and Ireland. The firm has worked on a variety of notable projects, including renovation and expansion of hotels, adding new facilities and accommodation, developed a residential estate focusing on energy-efficient homes and project featuring modern apartments and duplexes. They focused mainly on residential and commercial developments.

Your new role Our client is expanding its team and is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer. Key Responsibilities: You must be able to produce practical and cost-effective structural designs in timber, concrete, masonry, and steel. You are required to deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high standard. Must have 5 years design experience with a consulting structural engineering practice in the UK or Ireland. Ideally, have experience in minor civils design. What you'll need to succeed To be successful for the Structural Engineer role, you must hold a degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years UK/Ireland experience and be a member of an appropriate professional institution. You must have strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, and experience of undertaking concrete design to NI/UK & Eurocodes, NI/UK & Irish Building Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Technical Standards. Our client is looking for candidates with strong engineering design experience, particularly in using software such as Tekla Structural Designer, AutoCAD, and Revit. In addition to technical skills, it is essential that you have good planning, organisation, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as a ‘can-do’ attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service.
