Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Structural Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities: Production of structural engineering work packages from initial concept through to completion. Production of calculations packages for Building Control submission. Undertaking survey inspections and producing written reports in good English on findings, set out in a logical manner with appropriate recommendations. Working closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Representing the company at external meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals. Delivering work to a fee and to timescales agreed. Preparing client/project proposals. Agreeing design philosophy/design fundamentals. Skills and Qualifications: Be a graduate with a degree or equivalent in civil or structural engineering. Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers. Evidence of design office experience, which will be discussed at the interview. A good understanding of regulatory requirements. Proficiency in the use of design software such as Tekla, Tedds, SCIA, and Masterseries. Familiarity with drawing packages, including Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English. Hold a current UK driving licence.
