As part of our continued support to our customer in the Aerospace sector, we are looking for Structural Production Fitters to join us on a contract basis. The role will be based at our customer's facility in Belfast and will involve shift work for which a premium will be paid. Structural fitters play a crucial role in the construction and manufacturing industries, requiring a specific set of technical skills to perform their duties effectively. These skills not only ensure the quality and safety of the structures being built but also enhance the efficiency of the fitting process.

Responsibilities Blueprint Interpretation:

Structural fitters must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. This skill is crucial for understanding the specifications and dimensions of the components they will be working with. Fabrication:

They are responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components according to the specifications outlined in the drawings and work instructions. This may involve using tools such as saws and drills. Installation:

Once the components are fabricated, structural fitters install them on-site. This may involve working at heights on staging or on assembly jigs. Quality Control:

Ensuring that all work meets industry and customer standards and safety regulations is a critical responsibility. Structural fitters must ensure adherence to work instructions and drawings to verify the integrity and quality of the structures they assemble. Collaboration:

Structural fitters often work as part of a team, collaborating with engineers and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications Mechanical/Aeronautical diploma/apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3

Desired Skills Own tooling required (foamed toolbox and etched tooling) Experience in manufacturing Bombardier Business Jets
