We are currently looking for an experienced Structural Steel Welder to join a busy structural workshop in Christchurch. This could be an ongoing role for the right candidate.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates that can commit long term; however, we will consider applicants that only want short-term work, including working holiday visa holders.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications Weld in all positions MIG (Gas & gasless) ARC Welding Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality Be able to work in the workshop or on site Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines Skills and Attributes Required:
Ideally hold a trade qualification Ability to work unsupervised and complete jobs from start to finish alone Ability to fabricate accurately from drawings A strong commitment to health and safety Strong communication and teamwork skills Competitive wage based on experience This role can start ASAP for the right candidate Potential to become a long-term position Well-established, busy structural steel firm Clean and tidy workshop How to Apply:
