Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery is a special character state school based in Christchurch’s CBD. We have a fundamental tenet that the child is central in directing his or her own learning so that the enthusiasm and love of learning is retained. Our students value the choice, flexibility and respect that our style of education provides them. Our core values are whanaungatanga, kaha, aroha, whakaute, and tiakitanga, and these are present in everything we do. We are looking for a learning advisor eager to support literacy learning across the Y1–6 part of our Y1–13 school, to work with individuals and small groups of students. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the Better Start Literacy Approach and will work closely with our Lead Literacy Learning Advisor. This role is for 6 hours every week, days and times to be agreed upon.
