Air Personnel are looking for a Structures Team Leader to join a client based in Blackpool. The client offers turn key for mechanical structures involves combining design, analysis and manufacturing solutions to deliver optimised products. Job Description

The Structures Team Leader is responsible for leading, directing and monitoring stress engineers, providing an interface between the Chief Engineer and the Stress Team, to enable cost effective and efficient delivery of structural analysis. Other duties include: Delivering/deploying in-house and external training. Preparing cost estimates and quotations for new work. Checking and verifying reports/models (Structures CVE). Keeping abreast of current and future technologies. Project Management for the Stress Team. Skills & Knowledge

A minimum of 10 years relevant experience, plus: Excellent leadership qualities. The ability to perform hand calculations based on first principles of stress and strain. Knowledge of metallic and non-metallic material properties and failure modes. Knowledge of EASA Part 21J Rules for DOAs and Certification Specifications, especially structural regulations associated with CS25, 27, 29 and FAR, JAR Equivalents is desirable. A thorough understanding of all company procedures. The ability to understand and check engineering drawings. The ability to communicate clearly and confidently. The ability to integrate into multiple teams and projects. The ability to work independently to provide creative solutions to problems. The ability to work efficiently and accurately to a ‘required’ and consistent standard. Competence in engineering tool-sets, e.g. MATHCAD, MSC ONE. Competence in the MS Office suite of apps including WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, TEAMS. It is desirable to be Chartered (RAeS or equivalent). Location
