This would be on an as-needed basis for SAB and MCC dances. These dances occur in the evenings on the weekend. Position Description
Position Summary:
This position will be contracted, as needed, to DJ for student dances hosted by the Student Activities Board and various organizations within the Multicultural Council.
NOTE:
Being hired for this position will place you on an approved DJ list, but does not guarantee that you are contracted for any dances that are held by student organizations on campus. Experience Required
Knowledge of operating DJ sound board and equipment. Skills and Characteristics Required for Position:
Ability to work with people Must follow dance and music policies and procedures communicated by SAB and MCC Experience in DJing events Ability to operate and use DJ equipment and software Dress Code Requirements:
As communicated by organizers of dances. Special Working Conditions:
As needed, late night and weekend hours. Background Check Required:
No Primary Duties:
Provide DJ entertainment, as needed and contracted, at dances hosted by the Student Activities Board and Multicultural Council organizations at Messiah University. Prepare set list for events in line with theme of the event and in liaison with hosting organization. Submit set lists of songs for approval by hosting organization and advisor. Make announcements to student guests, as needed. Assist in set up and tear down of DJ equipment, as needed. Assist the Conference Service Tech Crew in sound check. Become familiar with and adhere to dance and music policies of Messiah University. Attend event planning meetings, as necessary, in preparation for the event. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).
