Observe behaviours and identify where interventions would be beneficial. Assist students in their day to day activities and support them in their studies. Engage in coaching conversations to empower students and help them achieve their aspirations. Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders both inside and outside the College. Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in groups. Develop activities to motivate and engage students. Qualifications and Skills:
You will have experience of working with and supporting young people, with the ability to identify potential barriers that they face and develop strategies to overcome these, employing a variety of communication tools. You should be student-centred, with a positive and calm approach, and have the ability to establish rapport, motivate, and inspire young people. You will possess a coaching skills qualification recognised by a national body, or be willing to work towards a recognised qualification. An effective and confident communicator, you will be able to work with a diverse range of students and staff, families/carers and external agencies, and be able to work on your own initiative to develop strategies to enhance students’ success and self-awareness.
