The Student Life team at the University of Sydney Business School facilitates a program of activities and engagement for a diverse student body of more than 16,000 students, both at the postgraduate and undergraduate level. The

Student Experience Programs Coordinator

leads the planning and delivery of key projects in the student life cycle such as onboarding and transition, mentoring programs, and the club and society network. Reporting to the Student Life Manager, the role will work closely with academic and professional staff stakeholders at all levels, and partner with students to co-design and facilitate the program.

This role presents a unique opportunity to take ownership of a program of activities and generate meaningful outcomes for our students and the broader Business School community, as well as showcase your exceptional project management and leadership abilities. Your key responsibilities will be to:

End to end project manage the content for our onboarding and transition program for our commencing and continuing students (including Welcome Week).

Facilitate the Business School's Peer Mentoring program.

Manage, refine, and continue to scale the Business School's Industry Mentoring Program, in partnership with the External Engagement team.

Manage the Business School's affiliate Club and Society network.

Evaluation, measurement, and reporting on all of the above.

Ad hoc duties and responsibilities as advised by the manager.

About you

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a competency and willingness to present and facilitate sessions as required.

Highly developed interpersonal skills including an ability to build relationships and establish networks in a student-centric and team environment.

Proven success in the end-to-end project management and delivery of large-scale student-focused events and activities.

Advanced working knowledge and skills with the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and a capability and willingness to learn new platforms as required.

Experience with or capacity to manage a diverse group of stakeholders; including students, senior leadership, academics, industry sponsors, and other external contacts.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.

A team player, with a positive, outcomes-focused attitude and a willingness to pitch in when required to get the job done.

Relevant experience in a higher education institution or comparable commercial or government sector environment (desirable).
