Assistant Headteacher SENCO Southend YMCA Community School is seeking to appoint a Student Learning Coach for 30 hours per week (term time only), to work in our nurturing environment for our current year 10 to 12 students for a fixed term of 2 years in the first instance. The successful candidate will provide learning and care support for an individual student with special educational needs (SEN) to help them work towards the outcomes on their education and health care plan (EHCP). You will work with the student's teacher(s) to plan and deliver activities, supporting the student with routines, transitions, and behaviour management. You will be part of a professional team to support the planning and delivery of learning and therapeutic activities for small groups or individuals, tailoring them to their individual needs. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring students and assessing, recording, and reporting on their achievement, progress, and development, which may include supporting students needing behavioural or emotional support. Southend YMCA Community School is committed to creating a diverse workforce.
