7:30 AM-12 AM, Sunday through Saturday; requires nights and weekend availability. These hours could vary based on events. Job Summary:

The Student Manager for Smart Campus Operations plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of The Cornerstone building on the UK campus during evenings and weekends. This individual is responsible for supervising other student employees, managing facility operations during their shift, and being the point of contact for any issues or emergencies that might arise. Key Responsibilities:

Operations: Oversee and manage the facility’s operations during evening and weekend hours. Ensure that all facility equipment is operational and report any malfunctions to the appropriate department. Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders using The Cornerstone during off-hours. Supervision: Supervise, guide, and support other student employees during the shift, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are met. Program and Event Support: Assist with room setups and breakdowns for events taking place during evening or weekend hours. Collaborate with University Events team and other departments hosting events to ensure their needs are met. Develop new and existing Smart Campus initiatives. Safety Administration: Document any significant incidents, issues, or feedback during the shift and report them to the Cornerstone Operations and Project Specialist or another designated superior. Ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures during evening and weekend hours. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Work independently and research information. Interest in or knowledge of Esports and event management is highly advantageous. Proficiency with social media platforms and basic technical equipment. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
