As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Subcontractor Controller to join our team. This new role will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our subcontracted logistics activities. This includes managing supplier relationships, issuing work, liaising internally with all departments, ensuring timely and efficient collections and deliveries, and driving improvements in processes to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability. This is a hybrid WFH role and you will need to be within commuting distance if required to our base in Tipton, West Midlands. Expand, develop and build strong and sustainable subcontractor supplier base. Address and resolve supplier-related issues promptly. Allocate and manage jobs to subcontractors via multiple & internal systems. Ensure supplier pricing is accurate at all times. Ensure collections and deliveries are completed on time, meeting customer expectations. Oversee the POD process to ensure all documents are submitted within SLA. Review and authorise subcontractor invoices for payment accuracy and compliance. Ensure all subcontracted work achieves budgeted margin. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve subcontracting processes. Implement automation tools and methods to increase operational efficiency. Review, monitor and manage sub-contractors insurance documentation to ensure compliance. Key Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work with logistics platforms and software tools. Financial acumen to manage budgets and ensure profitability targets are met. Proficiency in MS Office and other logistics-related software. Knowledge of large vehicle transporter capacity & loading is an advantage. Experience with process improvement and automation initiatives. Knowledge of BVRLA fair, wear and tear standard is an advantage. Key Competencies:

Full-time role with flexible working arrangements. Competitive salary based on experience (£28-£30k). Access to company pension. 23 days per year plus statutory bank holidays.
