We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead and drive excellence in Business education in our large and thriving Academy. The Subject Leader of Business will oversee the resources, curriculum, and environment for all Business courses within the faculty, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students aged 11-19, including A Level. The Ideal Candidate Will Be: A dynamic and innovative Business teacher with outstanding communication skills. Able to demonstrate a strong commitment to raising standards and supporting student progress. Experienced in teaching across the full ability range at Key Stages 4 and 5. Essential Qualifications and Personal Qualities: The successful candidate will: Hold a degree in a relevant subject and have achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) prior to starting the role. Be hardworking, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences. Have the ability to plan, deliver, and assess effectively, deploying a range of strategies to support learning and personal development. Key Responsibilities: As Subject Leader for Business, you will: Take full responsibility for the management and analysis of progress and attainment data for all Business courses. Monitor student progress, planning and implementing interventions where necessary to ensure all students meet or exceed expected levels of achievement. Develop and maintain effective schemes of work for all Business courses. Ensure teachers are aware of students' prior learning, achievements, and potential to achieve, using accurate data to inform teaching. Implement school curriculum policies for assessment, setting, target setting, recording, and reporting within all Business courses. The current salary of the applicant will be taken into consideration in respect of the salary offered. Salaries are reviewed by national negotiation with effect from 1st September each year. Progression through the Teachers' Pay Scale is subject to an annual performance review process.
