Subject Leader of Geography

to lead at

Dover Christ Church Academy . We welcome applicants with a proven track record of raising outcomes for pupils and an enthusiasm for research-informed education. You should have the ability to inspire all of our pupils to engage in geography learning, and prepare them for a range of careers so that they are successful in KS3 and 4 and can access KS5. You will be making an important contribution to the continuing progress of our school; collaboration with Trust Geography Post holders is commonplace which means you will have an instant network for support and inspiration across both Folkestone and Dover. We welcome applications from great teachers with leadership experience who are highly motivated and dedicated, with a passion for powerful education; research and changing pupils’ outcomes and lives. The ideal candidate will... be dedicated to improving pupils' progress and raising attainment at DCCA, sharing best practice with colleagues. have a proven track record of success in raising standards and developing others. have experience of strategic planning that brings about improved pupil outcomes. have a proven ability to enable pupils to work through inspirational and engaging geography teaching. have an understanding of current pedagogical research with regards to geography education. have a mind set to always lead by example: in the classroom, supporting and developing others, and living the Trust values.
