Role Purpose: The Subject Matter Expert - Packaging Manager (Procurement) will be responsible for an efficient supply chain, ensuring quality standards and compliance, supporting innovation, and advancing procurement sourcing. This is a multi-faceted role that encompasses procurement, technical, and commercial elements of packaging.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the procurement of packaging, sourcing, category spend, cost-saving initiatives, data analysis, and supplier management. Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), managing waste and recyclable data process regulations across multiple sites. NPD development support across materials and artwork. Customer-facing retailers to work towards common objectives such as the plastic pact.
Requirements: Previous experience in a similar position is essential such as a Packaging Manager or someone who has been involved with both procurement and technical within packaging, particularly in ingredients/food. Strong data management skills as there will be data reporting as part of this position from procurement and ERP outputs.
