Brixton, London . HMP Brixton is a male prison that has recently been re-rolled from a Cat C to a Cat B prison. It's the oldest prison in London and houses 770 inmates. The prison provides a range of healthcare from Primary Care, Mental Health, and Substance Misuse Support and Nursing support. Nursing care is available 24 hours. The ideal candidate will need to have the Substance Misuse Specialism as NMP and have experience prescribing for opiate or NPS patients as well as alcohol dependency. Hours Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 0900 - 1730 (can be flexible with start/finish times). Salary This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £58,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience. How will we support you? What you'll be doing

As a Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber, your responsibilities will vary. You will: Undertake Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within your sphere of competence. Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after. Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans based on medical and treatment history. Carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly. If you are interested in
