We are looking for a Substance Misuse Nurse to provide expert care during the night shift in Kent for a 3-month contract. As a pivotal member of our team, you will earn £36 per hour and work full-time on a rota from Monday to Sunday, with hours from 19:30 to 07:30. Your role will play a vital part in supporting individuals with substance misuse issues, ensuring their safety and care during the night hours. What you will do: - Provide dedicated Substance Misuse team nurse cover during the night period to monitor patients regularly for signs of withdrawal and administer medication as required. - Conduct screenings for new admissions into the facility for drug and alcohol misuse, and highlight patients in need of alcohol detox or opiate maintenance medication to the prescriber. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients through withdrawal and recovery processes. Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse: - Hold a relevant nursing qualification with active NMC Registration. - Possess recent nursing experience within Substance Misuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, or a related field. - Experience in managing withdrawal symptoms and providing care for substance misuse patients.
