Substance Misuse Nurse - Nights - Kent (UK) - £36 per hour Hourly - 3-Month Contract Are you ready for a thrilling opportunity to make a difference? We are looking for a Substance Misuse Nurse to provide expert care during the night shift in Kent for a 3-month contract. As a pivotal member of our team, you will earn £36 per hour and work full-time on a rota from Monday to Sunday, with hours from 19:30 to 07:30. Your role will play a vital part in supporting individuals with substance misuse issues, ensuring their safety and care during the night hours. Enhance your professional development with hands-on work in substance misuse nursing. What you will do: Provide dedicated Substance Misuse team nurse cover during the night period to monitor patients regularly for signs of withdrawal and administer medication as required. Conduct screenings for new admissions into the facility for drug and alcohol misuse, and highlight patients in need of alcohol detox or opiate maintenance medication to the prescriber. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients through withdrawal and recovery processes. Requirements of the Substance Misuse Nurse: Hold a relevant nursing qualification with active NMC Registration. Possess recent nursing experience within Substance Misuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, or a related field. Experience in managing withdrawal symptoms and providing care for substance misuse patients.
