HMP Doncaster has a capacity of over 1100, and has excellent transport links. Join the Recovery Team and empower those who wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients and delivering outstanding care.

Hours: This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will work 7.5-hour shifts between 7am and 7pm.

Salary: This position is full-time, you'll receive an annual salary of £28,247 - £32,346 dependent on experience.

What you'll be doing: As our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include: Delivering outstanding care to psychosocial patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback - ensuring that their care is personalised and tailored to the individual. Manage a caseload of patients with varying needs, including substance misuse, mental health, trauma, etc. Providing a programme of psychosocial interventions and comprehensive assessments. Provide information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cessation, blood-borne viruses, and safe sex practices. Prepare patients for release and transfer. Delivering care on a 1-1 basis as well as group sessions. Work with adult males and within the YOI. Assisting the healthcare team across other pathways as needed. If you are interested in
