About Sunsilk Sunsilk is one of the billion-euro brands for Unilever, housed under the Beauty and Wellbeing division. As a cornerstone brand for the hair category, the agenda on Sunsilk is to drive growth and reassert our leadership as a true hair care brand. Sunsilk, while a global brand, behaves extremely local with sizeable footprints in LATAM, SEA, SA, and Middle East/Turkey. In these markets, our ambition is to build strong brand experiences that drive growth and brand power. RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will report to the Sunsilk Senior Global Engagement Manager and the Senior Manager of Innovation. We are looking for a Senior Assistant Brand Manager capable of leading projects for both Engagement and Innovation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate independent leadership and clearly owned deliverables. We’re looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running, demonstrate high levels of responsibility, ownership, an immense bias for action, and a desire to develop within the exciting and demanding world of hair care. A very good eye for beauty & aesthetics is important. Main responsibilities in Innovation will include: Leading the overall project management of Sunsilk innovation projects. Understanding and analyzing global trends and key competitive moments leading to development project innovation design and landing them in a well-developed innovation pipeline for the brand. Co-lead strategic thinking, development, and deployment of the global innovation toolbox with a view to executing them across markets. Lead on-trend innovations with breakthrough science, build beauty mixes that drive desirability. Main responsibilities in Engagement will include: Act as project leader to deliver communication & engagement activities for a brand Core of the Core project with a strong focus on digital, technology, and Others Say programs. Lead engagement activities for a key Core of the Core project including but not limited to project management, OTIF delivery on essential communication & content assets, adaptation of communication assets for key market airing. Deploy and track best-in-class Engagement Toolboxes across key Sunsilk markets embedding all the strengths of the brand cohesively into one strong story the countries will have to activate using a centralized engagement framework (ATL, cohorts, and media that matters). Co-lead delivering the brand transformation through a new & unified brand world delivering a consistent brand calendar and communication cadence on Core of the Core projects, bearing in mind local insights for key markets. Track and govern the implementation of Distinct Brand Assets in all markets/assets. ALL ABOUT YOU Relevant experience in Innovation and Comms/Engagement with a strong passion for Beauty or Personal Care with an eye for detail, beauty, and craftsmanship. Relevant experience in strategy and mix crafting, preferably for beauty brands. Consumer obsessed to represent their voice at the table of brand discussions. Experience in managing cross-cultural relationships with multiple markets. Experience in developing successful communication both above and below the line. Experience in effectively managing relationships with global advertising agency partners. Strong sense of ownership with the ability to lead & manage quality & deadlines of workstreams independently. Strong communication skills, able to articulate a clear point of view, and share it with key internal and external stakeholders across functions. Problem-solver: someone who can identify and clearly articulate an issue and propose solutions. Curious and empathetic: someone who asks the right questions, is externally focused, and obsessed with understanding consumers better. Consumer-centric & alert to new market/consumer trends. Creative thinker, able to express good creative judgment of assets developed by agency partners, keeping brand and consumer insights in mind. Reliable team player with strong collaboration skills. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. A positive can-do attitude, rigor, and ability to hold yourself (and others) accountable. Desire to drive new, big ideas to move the brand forward. Excellent written and spoken business English.
