Supervising Social Worker – Mainstream Fostering Team 37 hours per week

We are looking for a committed, resilient, and experienced Supervising Social Worker to work with our fostering families on the Mainstream Fostering Team based in The Portal, Ellesmere Port.

The post holder will have at least three years post-qualifying experience and will have skills in supervising and supporting fostering families.

As a Supervising Social Worker on the Mainstream Fostering Team, you will safeguard and promote the welfare of Cheshire West and Chester’s children by delivering a high-quality service, keeping children’s wellbeing and safety at the heart of your approach. The majority of the work will be an allocated caseload of Foster Carer supervision and support, Duty cover, facilitating support groups and presenting Skills to Foster training. You will ensure that all regulatory activity is of a high standard and within timescales and you will be an integral part of the Mainstream Team, working closely with partners such as the Virtual School, the Intervention Hub, therapeutic services and Health. The postholder will be able to travel across the Borough of Cheshire West and Chester and beyond and will have a valid driving licence and access to a car.
