Supplier Quality Engineer - Precision Engineering

Location: Bolton

Salary: circa £40,000 + benefits

THE ROLE As Supplier Quality Engineer you will be in a semi-autonomous role and will be responsible for: Working with Suppliers on New Product Introduction and engineering change using PPAP methodology Professionalising the approach to managing supplier quality with regular supplier visits, supplier score cards and implementing supplier development programmes Auditing both new and existing suppliers in-line with ISO9001:2015 standards Working cross-functionally with other departments in the business to develop supplier relationships Working closely with suppliers to develop their processes, manufacturing capabilities and ability to cope with design change Ensuring all Supplier Quality issues are captured and reported promptly and in a professional manner THE PERSON

You will be an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer ideally from an automotive industry background, although other regulated industries such as aerospace and oil & gas would also be suitable. This role is also suited to someone who can work in a structured and controlled manner as cross-functional communication is critical to the success of this role. Finally, knowledge of PPAP methodology is essential in this role. THE COMPANY
