Vacancy Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Vacancy Location: Ellesmere Port Engagement Type: Permanent, Full Time The Role: Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our proactive team based in Ellesmere Port. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will work closely with all areas of our business ensuring that quality processes are followed and that the culture of quality is at the forefront of our approach to production and new product introductions (NPI). You will ensure products and services meet customer requirements by facilitating, training, and supporting the business in the deployment of quality improvement initiatives. You’ll manage KPIs and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximize success. Additionally, the role supports purchasing and inspection and operates with production and new product introduction. You’ll provide quality engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques and alignment to quality standards. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure quality excellence throughout to ensure our approach is aligned to our supply quality standards: AS9100 and ISO9001:2015 Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources. Effectively communicate and reinforce the business's commitment to quality excellence. Use best practice quality tools such as PPAP/APQP and 8D problem resolution Work closely with the NPI team to ensure pre-production processes are supported and quality information is gathered and reported before product release. Participate in the use of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) where required. Maintain, manage, and improve non-conformance reporting (NCR) system and allocation of tasks as part of ongoing QMS processes and any reviews. Apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools and define, manage, and report on the production key performance indicators (KPIs) You will have the opportunity to develop in your role and feel proud of the work you do. About You: Essential criteria: Extensive experience in quality environments within supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, marine, or defence sectors. IT literate, proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Practical knowledge of quality standards and quality problem-solving tools Proven experience of Production Quality Engineering and Control within a Manufacturing environment. Experience of process management and the identification & removal of waste Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment. Passion for customer satisfaction & soft skills and Process-oriented profile Strong influencing skills & team player Highly proactive; willing to champion change and drive simplification.
