Sulzer Leeds is expanding, and we're seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure our suppliers meet industry standards, Sulzer's stringent requirements, and project specifications. Your expertise will be essential in minimising non-conformance and ensuring the timely delivery of compliant products. Your main tasks and responsibilities: Process Management:

Oversee internal and supplier-facing processes, adapting and refining them to enhance quality and efficiency. Production Support:

Support production schedules by managing external inspection tasks, ensuring alignment with delivery requirements and client expectations. Supplier Audits and Continuous Improvement:

Manage the supplier audit schedule, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on the findings. Supplier Inspections:

Perform in-process, notified, and final inspections at supplier premises. Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure the timely resolution of any non-conformities. Supplier Selection and Risk Mitigation:

Apply your supply chain experience and utilise supplier performance data to assist in supplier selection and mitigate risks effectively. Supplier Quality Kick-Off Meetings:

Attend and facilitate kick-off meetings with suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations. Collaboration and Conflict Resolution:

Liaise with relevant departments to resolve conflicts and clarify specifications, ensuring smooth project execution. NCR Management:

Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), communicate technical requirements for rectification, and minimise disruption to production schedules. To succeed in this role, you will need: Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification aligned with relevant experience. Experience in an inspection environment with qualifications such as NDT, CSWIP, NACE, or CompEx. Proficiency in working with various materials and processes including castings, forgings, fabrications, machining, electrical, and paint. Strong computer skills and familiarity with SAP or similar systems Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis. Valid UK Driving Licence.
