We are seeking a

Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

to join a leading manufacturer specialising in safety-critical components for the aerospace, defence, industrial, and transportation sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to drive improvements in supply chain performance, quality, and compliance while contributing to the delivery of high-impact solutions for critical industries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with ISO9001, AS9100, and customer standards. Lead and support supplier quality audits, including PPAP and RCCA processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base, focusing on Right First Time (RFT) and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) objectives. Educate and coach supply chain teams on quality processes and tools. Manage customer returns and proactively resolve root causes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to improve quality culture and performance. Facilitate AS13000 RCCA deployment and lead permit/waiver status reporting. Act as a focal point for supply chain quality issues and supplier development.

What We're Looking For:

Core Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders. Experience in the aerospace or similar industry. Proven problem-solving expertise using structured methodologies (8D, Six Sigma). Excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure. Strategic thinking with attention to detail.

Qualifications and Experience:

Formal qualifications in Quality, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering. Lead/Internal Auditor (AS9100) certification. Proficiency in quality systems and tools, including Lean and Continuous Improvement practices. Experience with AS9102 FAIR processes and relevant CI qualifications.
