We're hiring for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a globally recognised engineering company at their site in Stockport.

This is a pivotal role focused on maintaining and enhancing the quality standards within the supply chain while contributing to the organisation's success through continual improvement and collaboration with suppliers.

What will you be doing as a Supplier Quality Engineer? Coordinating with the purchasing department to monitor supplier performance and administer corrective actions Conducting supplier and performance audits to enhance process standardisation and eliminate waste Resolving non-conformance issues with supplied materials and ensuring completion of corrective actions Developing standards and requirements for purchased components and evaluating supplier data to drive improvements Reviewing engineering and manufacturing specifications to ensure proper material selection Conducting supplier quality control audits to ensure compliance with industry standards Liaising with vendors to address concerns and foster continuous improvement Assisting with inspection during the paint coatings process

What do you need? A qualification in Quality or Supply Chain Management (or 5 years of equivalent experience) Knowledge of quality and business systems, including APQP, PPAP, and FMEA Proven experience in supplier management and driving continuous improvement initiatives Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas
