£35 p/hr PAYE Rullion are working alongside a leading manufacturer of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines based in Warwick. Our client is in search for a contractor to come join their team on a rolling contract. This is a hybrid position with approx. 2 days a week on site along with Supplier visits across the UK and into Europe. The Role

Perform supplier qualification, product/process qualification & supplier development to provide a global, demand covering, quality assured and cost effective supply base for the components within a certain commodity. Introduce, maintain and improve the Supplier Quality Management System, implement and track measures and activities to ensure the requested quality of the supplied components and services. Responsibilities

Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components. Provide supplier quality performance data to ensure a meaningful supplier performance evaluation. Interact with Customer Facing businesses to investigate potential Product Non-conformance. Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process. Conduct improvement projects to Quality and Delivery performance improvement. Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity. Lead component validation following Product and Process Qualification process, manage risks. Identify and support Cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategy. Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place. Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements. Lead and/or facilitate improvement projects to satisfy problems and improve performance of suppliers by applying appropriate LEAN / Quality improvement tools. Train and coach suppliers to improve aspects of their business performance. Lead Product validation through PPQ process. Shared responsibility: Participates in quality meetings with suppliers. Drives reactive supplier quality improvements and escalates when needed according to SQM Policy. Collaborates in supplier development programs. Actively contributes to continuous improvements within the areas of responsibility. SQM reporting support. Experience

Turbine Manufacturing experience - ideally knowledge of Blades and Vanes. Mechanical or Metallurgical Industrial experience. PPAP/PPQ/FAI knowledge. QMS & EHS (ISO and OHSAS or equivalent).
