The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures the quality of processes and products by performing audits, inspections, tests, defect analysis, trend analysis, programming & troubleshooting inspection equipment, calibration maintenance, and reporting on results of measurement standards as well as ensuring consistent quality of suppliers and production by validating processes. This position is part of the Quality Assurance department and will be an onsite position. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Responsible for the overall PPAP qualifications, translations, and First Article Inspections. Connects with strategic sourcing, engineering, supply chain, and quality for full implementation of the NPI and new parts development. Responsible for the Supplier Capability assessment, driving the supplier selection and supplier capacity analysis. Collaborate with Global NPD, strategic sourcing, and engineering to achieve and develop supplier product quality CTQs and delivery targets. Lead QARA supplier system (Windchill) for driving supplier engagement and communications for Improvement Programs. Responsible for 3rd party suppliers’ development and audits, driving full spec compliance. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field with 5 - 7 years professional experience, including 4 years’ experience in a supplier quality role. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100, AS13100, IEC, and other ISO standards. Detailed knowledge in PPAP, APQP, and Digital Management Systems. Proficient in software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Minitab, etc. Experience in aviation, automotive, and high-volume industries is a plus.
