Role overview: Responsible for the development and implementation of a Supply Chain Management Strategy that supports the Company's business plan and objectives. To continue to develop the relationship between the Hill Group and our supply chain and to identify and explore strategic procurement opportunities to the mutual benefit of all. Role Scope: Management of the Consultant/Supplier/Sub Contractor database, introducing the necessary systems, procedures and policies that bring long term benefits aligned with the Business Plans and Objectives, the outcome of which contribute to the increased profitability of the Company. Delivery Act as key contact for Hill Partnerships and our external database software support team. Assist with the implementation and training for the Hill supply chain database. Manage and regularly update the supply chain database. Manage the performance criteria for entry onto the Hill supply chain database. Review Trade Categories and ensure Database is commensurate with Hill Business Plans, optimising number geographically, technically and financially. Constant review and development of procedures to ensure Hill compliance and efficiencies. Supply Chain Management Work with Supply Chain and Constructionline to ensure a maximum uptake of this membership. Manage relationship with software provider to utilise the functionality of the supply chain database. Introduce prospective Supply Chain members to the business after completing vetting process. Attend, promote and organise attendance at Supply Chain engagement events. Work with regions to ensure sufficient key trades are in place to meet programmes. Monitor the return of regular supply chain performance reviews. Regularly review the performance marking criteria, identifying trends of under or exceptional performance. Regularly provide Management Information to the Regional Directors, Commercial Managers and Head of Customer Care. Manage the Preferred Supplier List of Trades & Labour Agencies and the renewal of this agreement on a periodic basis. Quality & Compliance Support the Head of Health and Safety to ensure Supply Chain meets minimum supply chain requirements for Health and Safety. Manage onboarding process of new companies to Hill to ensure they meet minimum requirements. Monitor supply chain to ensure minimum requirements are kept up to date and highlight where there may be issues. Provide a suite of reports to include: Additions to database. Suspensions from database. Financial Stability. Minimum Accreditation compliance. Performance. Spend. Financial Manage rebate collection on an annual basis from manufacturers we have an agreement in place with. Work with M&E Manager and Specification Administrator to test market and ensure we have the most appropriate and competitive specification in place. Constant monitoring of our database to achieve an optimum number of Suppliers and Sub-Contractors. Success Measures: Completes all parts of the supply chain function unsupervised on a day-to-day basis. Identify and communicate with suppliers, subcontractors and consultants carrying out due diligence. Supports the establishment of performance-led, long-term supplier relationships focusing on value for money, service & product quality, and continuous improvement to drive competitive advantage for the business. Collects maximum rebate possible annually from specified partners. Provides open feedback to the supply chain on performance and competitiveness. Holds review meetings with the supply chain as and when required. Supports the management of commercial reputation, ethical and other risks associated with the procurement process to ensure that undesirable consequences of the risks are mitigated, and opportunities realised. Identifies and communicates effectively with potential suppliers; carrying out due diligence, monitoring integration and effectiveness into the business. Input to business initiatives with the supply chain, together with administering/leading category agreements, securing savings, rebates, and compliance in line with project and company targets. Considers the use of alternative products and methods of construction and alternative methods of procurement, that may give financial benefit to the company. Skills, Experience and Attributes: HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent. Strategic understanding of business and the strategic importance of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. Contractual & Commercial knowledge and understanding. Continuously keeping knowledge up to date on Purchasing and Supply developments. Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures. Influencing skills. Information management. Analytical and evaluation skills. Excellent communication skills. Business planning skills. Leadership and motivation. Coaches and develops team. Manage performance: monitor, give feedback, confront issues. Using resources at disposal to best effect. Builds and maintains excellent working relationships.
