Supply Chain Manager. As a

Supply Chain Manager,

you will proactively lead all activities of the Material Planning and Logistics departments, to include all Logistics personnel via the Team leaders, Planners and the Material Schedulers. You will be responsible for ensuring the site’s MP&L team supports the Production Operations on site with the supply of all parts and plans, and that all Customers receive the parts they require according to the schedules and sequence messages they provide on time. You will determine how much and what type of materials and products to hold where in the supply chain, including managing inventory control, warehouse distribution, and replenishment plans. Key duties of a Supply Chain Manager: Maintain high standards of Health and Safety in all areas of responsibility for staff and visitors and improve the level of near miss reporting. Ensure external and internal customer satisfaction striving for 100% complete and on-time delivery performance. Keep control of expedited freight costs ensuring these are minimised with action plans to achieve a target of £0 spend. Manage all day-to-day activities regarding shipments, part availability for Operations, Planning, and Material scheduling. Manage planning and scheduling of plant operations to produce products meeting customer requirements whilst maximising profitability. Anticipate customer requirements, maintaining excellent working relationships with customers including face-to-face meetings where necessary. Integral part of the launch team with responsibility for Logistics aspects. Lead the site Logistics, Materials Planners, and Schedulers teams setting KPI’s and objectives, completing annual appraisals for direct reports. Ensure that all developmental and cross-functional training is ongoing to develop a flexible and versatile team. Monitor all Logistics processes and progress for delivery of schedules to service customers. Manage all Supply chain metrics on internal systems and publish to appropriate boards and meetings, implement supply chain improvement plans. Skills required as a Supply Chain Manager: Supply Chain Management experience – minimum 5 years Automotive Manufacturing - desirable Six Sigma Belt Knowledge Lean Management Experience Inventory Control Experience Production Planning Experience – ideally in a manufacturing background Able to work in a fast-paced high-pressured environment Excellent problem-solving skills What’s in it for you? 33 days holiday (25 + BH) 37.5 hours per week Holiday purchase scheme Life assurance scheme Pension scheme Healthcare cash plan
