Your Purpose As Supply Chain Manager, you will be instrumental in optimising supply chain operations, ensuring seamless communication between internal and external stakeholders, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supporting the business with effective demand planning and timely dispatch updates. Working directly with the Operations Director and cross-functional teams, you'll gain comprehensive experience in supply chain management whilst developing leadership capabilities for future advancement. This position is ideal for an experienced supply chain professional seeking to take ownership of both strategic planning and operational execution in a dynamic, growing organisation. Main Duties and Responsibilities Demand Planning and Forecasting Analyse historical sales data and collaborate with the sales team to create accurate demand forecasts, utilising advanced statistical methods and market intelligence. Ensure inventory levels align with sales projections, avoiding overstocking or shortages through dynamic inventory modelling and optimisation. Develop and maintain rolling forecasts with regular reviews and adjustments based on market conditions. Implement robust forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy and reduce forecast error. Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with internal teams (sales, warehouse, production) and external stakeholders (suppliers, logistics partners) to ensure alignment on supply chain objectives and timelines. Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs), monitor progress, and confirm receipt of goods whilst maintaining detailed documentation and audit trails. Inform the warehouse team about incoming deliveries and assist in coordinating storage activities to optimise warehouse efficiency. Inventory Management Oversee regular stock takes and ensure inventory records are accurate through systematic audit processes. Implement and maintain efficient stock management systems to minimise waste and optimise storage utilisation. Develop and monitor inventory KPIs to track performance and identify improvement opportunities. Create and maintain standard operating procedures for inventory management. Supplier Relationships Manage supplier communications, ensuring timely orders and positive relationships through regular engagement and performance reviews. Monitor supplier performance, address issues promptly, and seek continuous improvement opportunities through collaborative problem-solving. Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to track and evaluate performance metrics. Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key suppliers. Supply Chain Optimisation Lead cost reduction initiatives across the supply chain through process improvement and efficiency gains. Evaluate and implement new supply chain technologies and tools to enhance operational effectiveness. Monitor and maintain product quality standards throughout the supply chain using established quality control procedures. Identify and implement best practices for supply chain management. Regularly assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies. The Person Qualified supply chain professional with minimum 5 years' experience in similar roles. Knowledge of supply chain best practices with exposure to e-commerce operations preferred. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and strong Excel skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders. Experience in leading teams and managing supplier relationships. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related discipline. Professional qualifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS) are advantageous but not essential.
