Reed Procurement & Supply Chain have recently been engaged with an instantly recognised brand which you will find in every supermarket around the country. This brilliant employer has asked us to help them recruit a dynamic, methodical and efficient planner to join their supply chain department, initially on 12 month maternity cover contract. Stability is a key trait of this company culture and especially this department. They do not want to lose good people so it is likely that this role will become a permanent position for the right candidate. Location = Redditch Hybrid working = 2 days a week in the office, Tues & Weds Salary = £28-32,000 per annum Join this team as a Demand and Fulfilment Planner, where you will play a crucial role in managing the effective flow of stock through the business. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for supply chain management and exceptional organisational and planning skills. You will ensure that stock levels are meticulously planned and maintained to meet business goals, especially during peak periods. Day-to-day of the role: Liaise regularly with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely stock deliveries. Maintain accurate purchase order information within the ERP system. Serve as the primary contact for the customer service team regarding stock queries. Manage the movement of seasonal stock across warehouse locations to optimise availability. Raise and monitor purchase orders, ensuring supplier confirmation and chasing up where necessary. Handle internal weekly reports on outstanding PO confirmations and overdue deliveries. Oversee inbound deliveries, ensuring timely bookings with the warehouse. Enter shipment documentation into the ERP system and manage container deliveries based on stock requirements. Produce Freight Forwarder performance reports and manage stock transfers between warehouses to fulfil orders efficiently. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a demand planning or supply chain role Experience in retail or FMCG is ideal but not essential Must be proficient in Excel and be able to perform Pivot tables and vLookups Strong organisational and communication skills, capable of effective cross-functional collaboration. Ability to work independently and escalate issues when necessary. Flexible, forward-thinking, and highly motivated, thriving under pressure in dynamic environments.
