Just Temps seeks a Supply Chain Specialist & Material Planner for a prestigious company based in Sudbury, Suffolk. Working hours and rate of pay: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Main duties to include: Managing the supply of materials required to manufacture all instruments, consumables and spares ensuring maximum customer service whilst optimising inventory levels. Reviewing safety stock levels. Managing supplier portals. Reviewing and updating schedule agreements. Creating and maintaining purchase orders, inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments and managing external stakeholder relations. Purchase order management – expedites/de-expedites. Purchase order acknowledgements, arrears and late deliveries. Managing inventory issues and schedule changes. Reviewing missing component analysis, raising escalations and coordinating resolution to support production. Liaising with customers and suppliers. Reviewing and resolving invoice queries. Supporting stock at vendor process. Actively improve Supply Chain Scorecard metrics. Creating and maintaining SAP material master data and purchase information records ensuring the accuracy of information. Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and take responsibility for implementation. Supporting Lean/Kaizen events. Updating and preparing reports and KPI’s. Effectively use manufacturing tools and systems (SQDIP, CAPA/IR’s, SAP, Doc control). Actively use problem-solving tools. Updating procedures and documents and making amendments when necessary. Qualifications and skills required: A-level educated if applicable, Degree/HNC preferable. Experience in 5S/Lean/Kaizen tools. Competent in Microsoft Office applications. Material Planner - min 3 years in a similar role. SCM Specialist - min 7 years in a similar role. Just Temps acts as an Employment Business for the supply of Temporary Staff.
