Tara Professional is always in need of SEN Teaching Assistants to work within Shropshire SEN Schools as well as Shropshire Primary Schools. Do you have experience working in the care sector? Do you thrive in making a difference to the lives of young people? Do you have a passion to work with children? A career in a Special Education Needs school might just be for you! The children and young people are aged 2 to 11 and have a range of learning difficulties.

These can include autism, complex medical conditions, and physical and mobility difficulties. A number of the young people present behavioural difficulties arising from their condition; many have communication difficulties. What is the purpose of the role? The purpose of this role is to assist in interactive learning, promote personal development, and ensure that the curriculum is achieved for the best possible outcome for the students within the schools. Under the instruction and guidance of the teaching staff, health staff, and other professionals, you will undertake educational activities and attend to the education, personal, and social needs of the students to support their learning and development and ensure their safety. Skills Required:

Ability to build good relationships with children, teachers, and parents Ability to cope with challenging behaviours Encourage engagement and inclusion Ability to think in a solution-focused way Strive for quality of best practice You should be an enthusiastic and committed professional who is flexible and reliable, able to work on your own initiative, and capable of establishing effective working relationships at all levels.

Person Specification: Essential

Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs or within the care sector Motivated Eligibility to work in the UK Ability to meet the physical demands of the post Desirable NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant or Level 2 in Health and Social Care Experience in working in an educational environment Makaton Moving & handling trained Each applicant will be expected to undertake compliance checks including DBS, References, and ID Check.
