Support Practitioners

to join them part-time (16, 20 or 25 hours per week) and on a relief basis.

The Role The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. You'll become part of one of our dedicated teams who supports individuals with various support needs to live in their own homes. As a Support Practitioner, you’ll assist the individuals with all aspects of daily living including cooking, housework, shopping, medication, and personal care. You’ll also support them with their hobbies and interests too. Your support will play a huge part in helping them to reach their goals and play an active part in their local community.

About You At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need to build your career within the Health & Social Care sector.

We'll even fund your SVQ qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: A caring attitude and approach A positive approach to learning Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines Confidence in the use of computers.

Shift Patterns As we're dedicated to providing around-the-clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings, waking nights, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays. We are looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible and hold the right to close our advert early if we find suitable candidates before the closing date. Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
