are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team. We work with adults who are experiencing various support needs, including housing and homelessness, learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, fluctuating mental health, physical disabilities, problematic substance use, and involvement in the criminal justice system. We believe that people are the experts on their support needs, and it is our role to work creatively with them and our partners to meet those needs. Every day we work with well over 4,000 people and around 8,700 each year, helping them address their issues and recognize their skills and interests. We embed our support approach in a framework of Citizenship, promoting recovery, self-determination, and inclusion by focusing on individuals' strengths and contributions to their communities. We define Citizenship as a measure of the strength of an individual’s connection to the 5 R’s:
rights ,
responsibilities ,
roles ,
resources , and
relationships
that society makes available to its members. TPS is the largest provider of services to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness across Scotland, delivering support to over 2,800 individuals daily and over 5,100 annually. We believe that homelessness is often preventable and that when it cannot be prevented, the experience should be short-lived, met with a psychologically informed response. We offer various service models, including Outreach Housing Support, Outreach Housing First, Outreach Crisis Support, and Supported Accommodation. Our focus areas include building on people’s strengths, connecting them to communities, harm reduction, and providing a psychologically informed approach. We also deliver additional services across the country, such as Peer Mentoring services and Community Connectors. We recognize the importance of animals in people’s lives and are developing policies to make our services as pet-friendly as possible. We provide outreach housing support services that assist individuals in transitioning from emergency and temporary accommodation to a place of their own. The support we provide is always person-centred, involving family, friends, health professionals, and our staff members. No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion, and integrity is essential. IT skills are required for all our vacancies. Successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of their start date. Turning Point Scotland has
