Support Worker, Bolton Council, Child Criminal Exploitation Team - Must be a Support Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Support Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team. The responsibilities will include: Direct experience of and a thorough understanding of the challenges and complexities of working with young people, predominantly males who are victims at risk of or being criminally exploited by organised criminal gangs. Good knowledge of child protection safeguarding processes & legislation, youth offending, crime prevention, and diversion. Working within the Bolton Complex Safeguarding Team co-located with GM Police and working directly with young people whose assessed level of need is at Child In Need and Child Protection – sec 47. Managing a case load, completing specialist exploitation assessments, and developing risk reduction and support plans. Delivering direct work to young people and their families, with experience in addressing concerns such as violence, offending, anti-social behaviour, substance misuse, peer pressure, ACEs, and the impact of trauma. Working within a multi-agency framework with GM Police as a main partner, offering support and consultation to additional partners supporting young people at the level of Early Help. Liaising appropriately with colleagues and other professionals. 35 hours per week (flexible by negotiation) Immediate Start 3 Month Temporary Contract The successful candidate will need to hold an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, have a current CRB, and be a car driver.
