Support Workers Needed Ref 36112Our client is a happy young adult in the Dudley area who enjoys close relationships with her care team, she has sensory impairments as a result of a brain injury sustained as a child, and knowledge of Makaton and sensory activities would be advantageous (training will be given). Our client enjoys support to live independently in her own home, and likes to be out and about, bowling, swimming, attending discos and the gym are a just a few of her favourite things to do.The role involves supporting the client at home and after college with personal care, therapy activities and ensuring that she has access to and is enjoying leisure activities. Previous experience supporting adults or children with learning difficulties and/or brain injury would be preferred.We are looking for a permanent team member to work on a full time basis as part of the care team as well as casual support staff to assist the team on an ad hoc basis. A full UK driving license is essential.Hours of work:Weekday shifts are usually 2.00pm until 11:00am the following day and include an 8 hour sleeping night. At weekends and during holidays the shifts are 10.00am -7.00pm or 7.00pm – 10.00am Rates of Pay.£14.00 per hour weekdays£16.00 per hour at weekends. £11.44 per hour Sleeping night.Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service is required.Bush & Co are acting as agents for our client.
