We are looking for

Children & Young Person's Support Workers

to work Weekends and or School Holidays. This position is part-time across Central Durham (DH1) and The Stanley area (DH9). You will be required to support children with learning difficulties, autism, and further complex needs in a hub model and or out in the community. Duties include but are not limited to: Assisting children with daily activities Delivering Person-Centered Care Safeguarding children at all times Creating and maintaining positive relationships with the children and young people Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural, and cultural needs of the children Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or additional needs Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills Support individuals in participating in community activities Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate supervisor and provide accurate record keeping General housekeeping Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Empathy, patience, and compassion for individuals with disabilities Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals We provide full training; however, experience working with children is advantageous.
