As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, you will be supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain their individuality and vital independence. You’ll help residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities, and to the privacy of their bedrooms and bathrooms at their request. You’ll assist them with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, and dressing – this will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity – which is so important to everyone. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by being a part of the recreational and social activities with residents, and as a group. And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging! Benefits for the Role
