Job Scope: We are looking to recruit a dedicated Support Worker to join us at one of the brands of Catalyst Care Group

KIWI Children Services . The Support Worker will play a key role in helping meet the emotional, social, educational, and physical needs of young people, ensuring they have every opportunity to reach their full potential. The Support Worker will provide care that aligns with the Children's Homes Regulations and Care Standards 2015, adhering to OFSTED requirements. As a Support Worker, you will build positive and empowering relationships with young people, promoting a therapeutic model of care. You will implement care plans and risk assessments, support educational development, and act as a positive role model. Engaging in recreational, social, and domestic activities, the Support Worker will help young people develop essential life skills and achieve positive outcomes. The Support Worker will also liaise with parents and partner agencies, maintain high-quality records, and stay informed about the latest childcare practices. By prioritizing the needs of young people, the Support Worker will create a nurturing environment that fosters growth, safety, and success. Do you have? Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or a similar qualification in working with children, or willingness to pursue further relevant qualifications, if not already held. Strong knowledge of key legislation, including the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, the Children's Act 1989 (amended 2004), the Leaving Care Act 2000, as well as familiarity with the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015 guidelines and the OFSTED inspection framework (SCCIF). Understanding of multi-agency working, safeguarding procedures, and equal opportunities principles. Previous experience of working with children or young people in a residential setting. Experience of managing challenging behaviours and complex needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties, and managing young people in crisis. Benefits Employee Assistance Program.
