We are seeking a Surfacing Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will manage all operational aspects of the surfacing contract, including programming, resourcing, and cost control, ensuring all operations on site fully comply with health, safety, environment, and quality requirements.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

Supervise and ensure all operatives fully comply with all company Health, Safety & Environmental Policies and procedures. Ensure materials are laid to correct thicknesses to help reduce waste materials from being sent to tip, impacting both cost and environment, i.e. ‘Carbon footprint’. Ensure full compliance to Sector 16, i.e. temperature checks, daily laying records, while adopting a “Right 1st Time” approach at all times. Maintain daily record sheets (traffic management sheets, daily plant and van inspections, defect reports, sweeper check sheets, laying records, waste transfer records, site induction, spotters in place, overhead cables identified, temporary ramping, cone and guarding, daily hours, including any other report sheets). Assist the Commercial and Finance Departments in monitoring costs and preparation of final accounts. Submit monthly KPI information by the requested date (e.g. exposure hours, planning tonnages, waste, and vehicle/plant information for carbon footprint). Attend and participate in team briefings.

Qualifications/Skills:

Full UK Driving Licence. Ideally experience of supervision in Asphalt or Surfacing. CSCS Card. SSSTS - Desirable.
