NHS Ayrshire & Arran - Home (nhsaaa.net) Position An opportunity has arisen for a Surgical First Assistant at University Hospital Crosshouse. What you will do: You will work within the main theatre complex and be part of the nursing/ODP team to deliver peri-operative nursing care. The Surgical First Assistant (SFA) will have completed the appropriate course and will provide continuous, competent, and dedicated surgical assistance to the operating surgeon throughout the surgery.
