Surgical Physician Assistant (PA)

Care New England is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant to join our collaborative team at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island. Located just west of Providence, Kent Hospital has 350 beds and is the largest community hospital in Rhode Island. Position Highlights Inpatient surgical care including OR 1st assist and inpatient management Perform admissions, discharges, consults, and daily rounding Join a team of 6 physician assistants and multiple surgeons Prior experience with OR assist, central line, and chest tube insertion a plus Bedside procedures include nasogastric tube, wound vacuum, and chest tube placement Three 12-hour shifts (6 am – 6 pm) with shared 24-hour shifts on weekends and holidays Patient census is between 15-25 patients including primary and consults and 5-7 patients on nights and weekends.
