Job Description: Veterinary Surgeon – Surgical Bias Salary: Up to £70,000 Visa sponsorship available Well equipped, modern 24 hour hospital Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon with a passion for surgery? Join our modern, well-equipped 24-hour RCVS-accredited hospital, located in the vibrant town of Basildon. With excellent transport links to London, Southend, and Stansted, as well as proximity to the seaside, our hospital offers the ideal setting for professional and personal growth. About Us: We are a thriving, purpose-built hospital dedicated to delivering gold-standard care. Our facilities include: State-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including a CT scanner and MRI. Advanced treatment options such as hydrotherapy, physiotherapy rehabilitation, and laser therapy. Comprehensive services spanning emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, and laparoscopic surgery. Our large and experienced team includes: 14 vets, with surgical and medical certificate holders and others pursuing further specialisations in cardiology and internal medicine. A highly skilled nursing team, with expertise in Schedule 3 procedures, imaging, and postgraduate certifications. Dedicated hydrotherapists, physiotherapists, and client care advisers. The Role: We are seeking a veterinary surgeon with a strong surgical bias to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy, forward-thinking environment and values clinical excellence. Key responsibilities include: Performing a range of standard and advanced surgical procedures. Managing complex medical cases with confidence. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. Interest in laparoscopic surgery is a bonus but not essential. Working Hours and Work-Life Balance: 4-day working week

(40 hours) with 1 in 4 weekends. No routine out-of-hours (dedicated night team), with minimal on-call duties (3-4 times per year). What We Offer: Salary:
