Global Veterinary Careers is assisting a well-established veterinary practice in their search for a talented and surgically focused Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual with a passion for surgery to take the next step in their career. About the Practice & Team: This standalone practice is fully equipped with modern facilities, including orthopaedic tools, dental X-ray, an endoscope, a full IDEXX suite, and a referral-level scanner. The team comprises six experienced veterinary surgeons and six registered veterinary nurses who work collaboratively to provide excellent care. The practice prioritizes professional development, offering a generous CPD allowance and support. Over the next year, the facility will undergo a high-standard refurbishment to ensure it reflects the expectations of a modern veterinary practice. About the Location: Situated near a variety of local amenities, the practice is ideally located close to Newcastle upon Tyne and the stunning Northumbrian coast. For those who love adventure, the breathtaking landscapes of Cumbria and the Lake District are just 90 minutes away. It’s a fantastic place to live and work, with plenty to offer for both leisure and lifestyle. Duties of the Role: Provide exceptional patient and client care, focusing on both medical and surgical aspects. Specialize in orthopaedic procedures, with the opportunity to pursue or hold a relevant certificate. Work alongside a skilled and dedicated team, contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice. Full-time role (40 hours per week), including 1:3 Saturdays (9:00 am–3:30 pm), with no Sundays, OOH, or Bank Holiday shifts. Part-time hours can also be accommodated. Benefits: Competitive salary of up to £80,000, dependent on experience and qualifications (FTE). No OOH, Sundays, or Bank Holiday shifts, ensuring a great work-life balance. To Be Considered: MRCVS Be a proactive Veterinary Surgeon with solid medical and surgical skills.
