Surveillance Network Engineer £45,000 - £55,000 Location: Manchester Hybrid Working (2 days on site) Exciting new role working for one of Europe's leading security specialists. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented and experienced Surveillance Network Engineer to join their team and play a lead role in delivering secure and reliable solutions for the group. You will be responsible for the integration, management, and optimization of monitored technology systems within the broader IT infrastructure of the group. The role will ensure that surveillance systems are seamlessly integrated with the network and other IT components to provide robust security and monitoring capabilities. Key Responsibilities:

System Integration:

Integrate systems with the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, storage solutions, and network components. Ensure compatibility and interoperability between Monitored Technology systems and other IT systems.

Network Configuration:

Configure network settings for Monitored Technology systems, including IP addressing, subnetting, and VLANs. Optimize network performance to support high-quality video streaming and recording.

Data Management:

Implement data storage solutions for Monitored Technology footage, ensuring scalability and redundancy. Manage data retention policies and ensure secure storage and backup of Monitored Technology recordings.

Cybersecurity:

Implement cybersecurity measures to protect Monitored Technology systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to Monitored Technology systems and their integration with IT infrastructure.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain detailed documentation of Monitored Technology system configurations, network settings, and maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to IT and security.

System Upgrades and Enhancements:

Evaluate and recommend upgrades to Monitored Technology systems and related IT infrastructure to improve performance and security. Implement new technologies and solutions to enhance the capabilities of the Monitored Technology systems.

Key Skills and Experience:

Demonstrable experience with IP-based CCTV systems & remote devices. Proven experience of stakeholder management. Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, PoE, and QoS. Hands-on experience with configuring switches, routers, and firewalls. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting. What Next:
