WRS is seeking a skilled and proactive Survey & Positioning Asset Engineer to join an Aberdeen office in Bridge of Don. This position is integral to the clients team, supporting the S&P Asset Manager in managing survey equipment and assets to support various projects effectively. The role offers a hybrid working model, excellent benefits, and a flexible, engaging environment.
Start Date: To be agreed with the successful candidate(s); with a preference for an immediate start.
Contract Type/Duration: Staff, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary/Rate: Competitive, please provide individual rate expectation.
Please Note: Candidates must reside in the UK with full and permanent UK right to work certification.

This role supports the S&P Asset Manager in all survey equipment-related activities, with a focus on maintenance, planning, transport, and utilization of both Company assets and third-party hired equipment. The position reports directly to the S&P Asset Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the S&P Asset Manager according to department and project needs.
Coordinate with project teams to plan and ensure continuous utilization of survey-supplied equipment.
Collaborate with the Survey Workshop Coordinator to maximize asset utilization.
Liaise with third-party vendors as needed to supplement asset equipment spreads.
Ensure all equipment is serviced, calibrated, and meets Survey quality standards and project requirements prior to deployment.
Maintain and update asset tracking software for equipment movements, fault/test reports, calibrations, etc.
Track equipment utilization and approve costs as required.
Assist logistical support departments with transport to/from project sites.
Support Offshore Teams on equipment matters, including liaising with manufacturers/suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Coordinate with the Survey Workshop and manufacturers/suppliers to repair damaged or faulty equipment.
Plan and implement purchase requests for equipment, spares, and consumables, and manage procurement tracking.
Oversee the return of survey equipment from project sites, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure timely processing.
Participate in vessel mobilization and demobilization, joining the Offshore Team onboard locally if necessary.
Contribute to R&D efforts within the Survey Asset team, identifying and developing new technologies and improving internally designed solutions to meet project requirements.
Adhere to and enhance quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
The Successful candidate should have the following experience/qualifications:
Required;
College/university degree or industry training in survey-related electronic engineering.
Basic knowledge of offshore survey operations.
Understanding of export regulations.
2-3 years of experience in the installation and interfacing of survey equipment and sensors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
Experience in an onshore support environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (both electronic and mechanical).
Desirable;
Experience working within a Survey Workshop.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Completion of equipment manufacturer training courses.
