We’re looking for a

Surveyor (Repairs)

to join our Property Services and Assets Team. With over 6,000 homes and supported and care facilities across south Wales and an ever-growing portfolio, the team’s aim is to ensure that our properties are well maintained and moving towards our decarbonisation and energy efficiency goals. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working 36 hours per week. You’ll also have the option to work a 9-day fortnight – have a day off every other week! We’re embracing hybrid working; if you’re successful, you’ll be working from home, our head office, and managing projects on site. This will help us to achieve a collaborative way of working and to forge great relationships with our contractors and contract holders. You’ll be able to manage your own diary to make this work best for your personal situation. A full driving licence and own vehicle is a must for this role. What you'll do You’ll be delivering a range of reactive maintenance and improvement projects, including diagnosing defects, preparing detailed schedules of work, and monitoring works through routine quality inspections against agreed key performance indicators. You’ll manage allocated budgets, ensuring all relevant legislation, regulations, statutory, and safety requirements are complied with. What you'll need With a HND/HNC and site/surveying based experience, you’ll be confident to carry out surveys and identify opportunities for improvement and suggest solutions to changing situations. You’ll be commercially aware and be able to deliver quality services in a highly communicated customer service orientated environment. You’ll have strong digital skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. Benefits Salary of £36,247 per annum 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and increasing with length of service (adjusted for 9-day fortnight working pattern if applicable, please see attached guide) Option to work a 9-day fortnight – have a day off every other week!
