Surveyor (Repairs) . This position is offered as an 18-month secondment, on a full-time basis of 36 hours per week, with a salary of £36,247 per annum. You’ll return to your substantive post afterwards, with all your new experience and skills in tow - what a fantastic development opportunity! With over 6,000 homes and supported and care facilities across South Wales and an ever-growing portfolio, the team’s aim is to ensure that our properties are well maintained and moving towards our decarbonisation and energy efficiency goals. We’re embracing hybrid working; if you’re successful, you’ll be working from home, our head office, and managing projects on site. This will help us to achieve a collaborative way of working and to forge great relationships with our contractors and contract holders. You’ll be able to manage your own diary to make this work best for your personal situation. A full driving licence and own vehicle is a must for this role. What you'll do You’ll be delivering a range of reactive maintenance and improvement projects, including diagnosing defects, preparing detailed schedules of work, and monitoring works through routine quality inspections against agreed key performance indicators. You’ll manage allocated budgets, ensuring all relevant legislation, regulations, statutory, and safety requirements are complied with. What you'll need With a HND/HNC and site/surveying based experience, you’ll be confident to carry out surveys and identify opportunities for improvement and suggest solutions to changing situations. You’ll be commercially aware and able to deliver quality services in a highly communicated customer service-oriented environment. You’ll have strong digital skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
